I will forever hold you in my heart.
You came into this world high on a garden arbor, born into a nest of leaves. I'll forever remember the moment we met. You and your sister were two tiny servings of adorableness, cuddled together in a baseball cap. Your eyes were still shut to the world. And it was love at first sight.
I fed you from a bottle until you were ready to tackle the food dish on your own. You napped in my lap, a sweet bundle of joy. With big ears! I wondered if you would ever grow into them. As you outgrew your sister, you gallantly treated her to daily lessons in self defense. You were thoughtful, that way.
You loved to climb trees, as any wild cat would.
Our favorite game was hide 'n' seek. You would tag me, turn, and run. Your favorite hiding spot was behind the hall curtain. Of course, I never noticed the two white paws sticking out into the hallway. I would tag you, and race to the nearest hiding place. When you found me, I would laugh uncontrollably. That was your favorite part. And mine, too.
You loved to share fires with family.
You liked to explore, occasionally stumbling into trouble. You often sat on the edge of the pond, and paced curiously when the goldfish teased you. Sometimes, leaning a little too far over the murky water, you fell in. You weren't fond of the water, but couldn't resist the play of fishes.
You were king of contortionists. And, oh, how you loved your 'rubby tums!'
